This photo was taken in September of 2014 when I joined Arthur Meyerson and Keron Psillas for a two week photography tour in Portugal. We attended a traditional bullfight at the Campo Pequeno in Lisbon and it was a wonderful experience.
I had purchased my ticket on line from Vancouver in advance of going to Portugal on the recommendation of Keron who lives there. It turned out that several in the group sat together across the ring from me and I was solo in the midst of the crowd but in the first row. I had chosen to be, by pure chance, right above the Matadors. My view was impeccable and using my 70-200 Canon lens was perfect as I am very used to it and it is manageable in weight for the telephoto advantage. See the gallery for more images of this evening.
